Winter Kayaking
Norwegian Wild
Join this unique winter kayaking experience in a stunning Arctic landscape. We teach you the basics before heading out into calm fjord areas on Senja, where we enjoy the day and share stories and knowledge about the island.
Kayaking is at the heart of what we do, and there’s no better way to spend time outdoors than from the cockpit of a kayak.
When winter begins to loosen its grip and conditions allow, we prepare the kayaks and explore Senja from the sea. Our experienced instructor and guide ensures that everyone feels safe while sharing knowledge about paddling, the ocean and local cultural history.
The meeting point is at Norwegian Wild in Tranøybotn, South Senja, right next to Ånderdalen National Park.
We recommend wearing wool layers, wool socks, a buff and a hat.
The tour includes a drysuit, paddling shoes and gloves. Our guide also serves a warm drink and a snack.
Age limit: 13 years
Level: Medium
Minimum: 2 participants
Maximum: 6 participants
Duration: 5 hours
