SalMar Salmon Center Senja

At the SalMar Salmon Center you can learn more about the Norwegian aquaculture industry. Through engaging experiences both on land and at sea, visitors gain insight into modern and sustainable food production.

What technology does the industry use? What is a smolt? And what does salmon feed actually smell like? At SalMar Salmon Center you`ll find the answers. Our interactive exhibition gives you a broad introduction to Norwegian aquaculture.

You can also see how SalMar remotely feeds sea farms using advanced technological solutions. Younger children can enjoy a dedicated underwater-themed playroom.

We also offer an exciting RIB trip out to the salmon’s home – the sea farm. Here you can see with your own eyes how the salmon live in the pens. This tour is free of charge.

In addition, we offer guided tours of our new processing facility, InnovaNor, as well as the smolt facility in Gjøvika. All activities are led by our knowledgeable guides.
