Travel to the Senja region

WELCOME TO SENJA AND DYRØY

No matter where you come from, traveling to the Senja-region is easy. Your scenic adventure starts already with the transportation!

You can reach our destination by car, express boat, ferry, Hurtigruten (the coastal steamer) or from the airports Bardufoss (BDU), Tromsø (TOS) or Harstad/Evenes (EVE).

BY PLANE

The nearest airport is Bardufoss.

From Oslo the flight takes about 1 hour 50 minutes, and from the airport it is approximately one hour to reach the Senja region.

You can also go by plane to Harstad or Tromsø and from there take the express boat to Finnsnes (Senja), Lysnes (Senja) or Brøstadbotn (Dyrøy).

Car rental is also an option

BY FERRY

These car-ferries are available to and from Senja:

Andenes (Vesterålen) – Gryllefjord (Senja) - new time table for summer 2023 will be approximately the same as previous years, running from mid May till the beginning of September. The ferry takes 1h 40m, and runs 3 times per day from Gryllefjord to Andenes. The earliest departure is at 11:00 in the morning, and the last departure from Gryllefjord is at 19:00 which arrives into Andenes at 20:40

Brensholmen (Tromsø/Sommarøy/Kvaløya) – Botnhamn (Senja)

We are also happy to announce the year-around ferry between Brensholmen - Botnhamn, which continues from 6th September 2021.

Please note that there are no car ferries arriving in Skrolsvik.
