RIB Fjord Expedition on Senja’s Outer Coast

Join exciting 3 hour fjord expeditions in one of Senja’s most idyllic fjords – Bergsfjorden.
We offer departures both during the day and in the afternoon, and run dedicated Midnight Sun Cruises in season.

Bergsfjorden is both exciting and beautiful, rich in cultural heritage and home to the most idyllic archipelago in the Senja region. This marine protected area hosts a wide variety of seabirds and seals. We guide you safely through fascinating history and cultural sites, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery and look for species such as black guillemot, puffin, white‑tailed eagle and the curious harbour seal.
If conditions allow, we make a short landing on one of the small islands, where we serve a warm drink.
Tours start from the changing room next to the Joker supermarket in Skaland, Senja. The building is clearly marked. Here you will receive a thorough briefing, a strong focus on safety, and an approved flotation suit before departure.
Practical information
We provide approved flotation suits for all passengers.
Check the weather forecast; warm clothing, a hat and gloves/mittens are recommended.
Bring a camera/binoculars and a small daypack.
The boats
Zodiac SIB – a soft‑bottom inflatable boat with an aluminium deck, offering comfortable seating. We usually cruise at around 20 knots. The boat is 23 feet and can carry up to 4 tonnes, powered by a 175 HP engine.
Zodiac RIB – for those who enjoy a bit more speed and excitement. This boat handles rougher conditions and is equipped with a 200 HP engine. Both boats carry the same safety equipment.
The boats are very stable and suitable for everyone over 12 years old. Younger children may join when accompanied by an adult.
Payment
Payment is made before boarding.

Day and evening departures are available on request.
In July and August, we often operate with fixed departure times.
