Fly into the region through three nearby airports
Bardufoss Airport is only a 45‑minute drive from Finnsnes. Norwegian Airlines operates a daily route, with a short flight time of 1 hour and 50 minutes from Oslo Gardermoen. There is an airport bus running Silsand – Finnsnes – Sørreisa – Bardufoss Airport.

If you prefer to travel as sustainably as possible, you can take a bus from the airport to the city centre of Tromsø or Harstad, and then continue by express boat to Finnsnes, Skrolsvik or Lysnes.
The Senja Region has excellent express boat connections with daily departures:
Route 2: Tromsø – Finnsnes – Brøstadbotn – Engenes – Harstad
Route 4: (Mon–Wed–Fri only) Lysnes (North Senja) – Tennskjær (Lenvik Peninsula) – Vikran – Tromsø
Route 6: Skrolsvik (South Senja) – Bjarkøy Islands – Harstad
If you prefer to travel by the coastal cruiseships, Hurtigruten and Havila Voyages are great alternativs, with daily arrivals in Finnsnes. Some ships also allow cars on board.
