The southern parts of Senja offer a beautiful national park with a family-friendly and easily accessible entry point at Tranøybotn. A universally designed hiking trail leads you past the Vardnesmyra Nature Reserve and two kilometers to the boundary of Ånderdalen National Park. The adventure continues into a fascinating pine forest, rich in flora and fauna, birch woods, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls, surrounded by a wild mountainous area with peaks and fjords to the west.
The preservation of Ånderdalen is intended to protect a natural habitat of old-growth pine forest, birch woodland, and a mountain and fjord landscape typical of coastal Troms County. Ånderdalen National Park provides excellent opportunities for wildlife experiences.
A visit to any national park or nature for that matter, means to be nature`s guest. Follow the guidelines and make sure you leave it in the same way as you entered.
