Frovåg Havfiske is located in the southern part of Senja and is part of Senja Fjordhotell. We offer three spacious rorbu cabins and two houses for guests dreaming of great catches and authentic coastal living. All units are well equipped for self‑catering and are ideal for fishing holidays.
The area offers varied and exciting fishing opportunities. Many excellent fishing spots are only a short boat ride away, and the waters around South Senja are home to species such as pollock, haddock, redfish, ling, large cod and the highly sought‑after halibut. If you plan to go fishing, we recommend booking a boat well in advance, as they are often rented out.
In the surrounding area, you’ll find several museums, a coastal fort from World War II and beautiful beaches. Through our partners, we can offer unique activities in both summer and winter – including dog sledding, guided hikes in Ånderdalen National Park, and guided summit trips. Bicycles and kayaks are also available for rent.
During your stay, we recommend a trip to the more dramatic North Senja, where spectacular mountains rise straight from the sea and charming villages dot the coastline. You can also rent a boat with a skipper for an unforgettable sea safari and experience South Senja at its very best.
