Cabin at Urhjertet, Nysted Farm
Stay in a peaceful, rural setting at Nysted Farm – in a spacious and cosy cabin surrounded by nature, quiet and plenty of room to unwind.
At Urhjertet on Nysted Farm, you’ll enjoy a stay where nature, tranquillity and outdoor activities go hand in hand. Start your morning with a quiet moment by Lake Andsvatnet, try your luck fishing for trout and char, or warm up in the sauna after exploring the nearby trails.
In summer, the lake invites you to swim, relax and enjoy outdoor grilling, while winter offers ice fishing and cross‑country ski tracks close by. The farm has animals and activity throughout the year, creating an authentic and lively atmosphere – perfect for families and adults looking for a nature‑based getaway. With great hiking opportunities right outside the door and short distance to local attractions, everything is set for a stay filled with both experiences and relaxation.
The cabin has two bedrooms with double beds, and both a cradle and a travel cot are available for small children. The cosy living room features a wood‑burning stove, TV and WiFi, and outside you’ll find a terrace with benches and a grill, as well as access to shared barbecue areas in the camp. Firewood can be purchased in the mini‑shop. Animals and year‑round farm life add to the authentic rural experience.
The cabin is available from 15 March to 15 November, with rental on request outside these dates. You have full access to the cabin, outdoor areas and shared spaces down by the water. The sauna can be rented year‑round, and the hot tub is available part of the year. Fishing rods can be rented, and fishing permits are available via Vipps or on site. Ski trails and hiking paths in the area are free to use – nature is literally right outside your door.
It’s only 11 minutes to Bardufoss Airport and about 2 hours to Tromsø or Evenes.
Urhjertet is passionate about sharing knowledge of Sámi culture, traditional livelihoods and nature‑based experiences. At our camp by beautiful Lake Andsvatnet, we offer activities for all ages – from northern lights experiences and snow activities to Sámi handicraft, guided tours, school camps and team‑building.
