It is easy to travel by bus to Finnsnes, but somewhat more challenging to get between places and outer points on Senja, since most routes go via the transport hub in Finnsnes and you may need to change buses along the way. Finnsnes has daily bus connections to the larger settlements on the edges of Senja, such as Stonglandseidet, Gryllefjord and Senjahopen.
From Finnsnes, there are also daily bus routes to Tromsø and Harstad. The airport shuttle between Silsand, Finnsnes and Bardufoss Airport provides a convenient connection for travellers arriving by air, and there are good transfer options to express boats and other public transport services in the region.
