Senja Husky Adventure enjoys an ideal location in the inner part of Senja. We are a family‑run husky company based at Ottemo/Vesterfjell, driven by a genuine passion for dogs, nature and unforgettable outdoor experiences. Here, in the heart of the adventure island of Senja – Norway’s second‑largest island – we invite you into our world of husky joy and wilderness adventures.
Do you dream of dog sledding through spectacular winter landscapes beneath dancing northern lights, hiking with man’s best friend under the magical midnight sun, or visiting our kennel to meet our furry happiness‑spreaders? Then you are warmly welcome to join us.
With us, you’ll enjoy a personal and exclusive experience. We offer exciting year‑round activities with our friendly Siberian huskies.
Our guests include families, travellers, couples, hikers, schools and many others – everyone is welcome.
At our kennel, around 30 four‑legged friends are part of our family. Most are purebred Siberian huskies, but from time to time we also have a few Alaskan huskies in the pack. We breed our own dogs, so occasionally you may also meet adorable puppies. Our dogs are an essential part of our lifestyle, and we take excellent care of them. We regularly participate in long‑distance sled dog races – and sometimes even dog shows.
No previous experience is required to join our tours, but we recommend being in reasonably good physical condition.
For dog sledding, two guests share a sled and take turns driving.
For husky hiking, you will have a strong husky harnessed in front of you.
Please dress according to the weather and season. In winter, warm wool socks, a good winter hat and a proper base layer – preferably wool – are essential. Bringing a camera is also a great idea.
We provide winter overalls, mittens and winter boots.
